Village Johnsburg Public Works & Prairie Path Water Company - Hydrant Flushing Notice

Village of Johnsburg Public Works - Hydrant Flushing Notification for Shiloh Subdivision; Please be advised of notice regarding Hydrant Flushing on Village’s infrastructure. Johnsburg Public Works Department will start flushing hydrants in Shiloh Subdivision on Wednesday, November 12th starting at 8:00 a.m. The work is expected to be completed by 3:00 p.m. Residents and businesses on this system may experience discolored water and occasional reductions in water pressure while the flushing takes place. Additionally, important message from Prairie Path Water Company, Whispering Hills, partial local water utility provider in the Village of Johnsburg. They would like to advise customers that flushing of the water lines is scheduled in some of Johnsburg's area starting on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, through Friday, November 21st, 2025. Please note the change in dates, they apologize for any inconvenience. The flushing will begin at approximately 8:00 am and end at approximately 4:30 pm. Please limit water use during these times. Customers may experience brief periods of lower-than-normal water pressure, possible cloudy water and or temporary discoloration. We suggest customers refrain from doing laundry until the flushing is complete and service returns to normal. Once the flushing is complete, normal water quality and pressure will be restored to your home. Should you experience any water quality issues following this work, we kindly ask that you please try flushing your cold-water line for approximately 2-3 minutes. If this does not improve the quality, please contact your water provider entity immediately. Flushing is done to ensure the best possible water quality.
