Sandbag Collection Notice – Starting May 4

The Village of Johnsburg will begin assisting with the collection of sandbags that have come into contact with floodwater. Cleanup efforts following the recent high water events along the Fox River are scheduled to start on Monday, May 4th.

Residents are asked to place all sandbags in a neat and orderly manner along roadways that experienced flooding so Village Public Works crews can collect them efficiently. For safety reasons, please assume that all sand has been contaminated by floodwater. Village crews will handle proper collection and disposal.
