Ho Ho Holiday Events in Johnsburg!
The holidays are a time to enjoy with loved ones. As the weather gets colder and the snow begins to fall, the spirit of the season leaves us all with warmth in our hearts, shared through smiles to neighbors and friends.
The Village of Johnsburg, Illinois and Johnsburg School District #12 are getting into the holiday spirit this December with numerous holiday events on the horizon for residents and their families.
Johnsburg School District #12: Johnsburg PTO’s Winterfest
On Saturday, December 4, 2021, the District 12 Johnsburg PTO will host Winterfest at Johnsburg Elementary School, 2218 W. Church St. Winterfest times are scheduled from 9am to 12pm.
All district families are invited to celebrate the holidays and take part in fun Winterfest events, including:
- Meet and Greet with Santa
- Vendor/Craft Fair
- Craft Stations
- Gingerbread House Build
- Secret Santa Shop
- Raffle Baskets
Event costs are $10 per family, up to four people, with payment taken at the event. It will be $2 per additional person. Masks are required. Event organizers request that families RSVP in advance through the attached QR code on the Winterfest flyer.
Village of Johnsburg: Holiday Magic Event
Scheduled for Saturday, December 11th, 2021, the Village of Johnsburg and the Community Affairs Committee will welcome visitors from near and far for one of the best holiday festivities in the area: Holiday Magic.
The spectacular event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with the 3rd Annual Johnsburg Holiday Magic Parade. The parade will begin at First Midwest Bank and proceed along Church Street to the Johnsburg Community Club. Visit the Village’s website at www.johnsburg.org and sign-up for e-blasts to learn more about registering your float or permitted non-highway vehicle for the parade.
A tree lighting ceremony will take place immediately following the parade. Additionally, the Johnsburg Holiday Magic Event has enjoyable holiday festivities for everyone, including:
- Crafts
- Balloons
- Music
- Refreshments
- A special visit from Santa
This event is free to residents of Johnsburg. In the spirit of giving, village officials ask that you please bring a new toy or an item to donate to our community food pantry to help those in need.
